THE PLAYWRIGHT: JANE MILLER’S plays have been performed in Australia and internationally over the last 4 years. In 2006-7 her plays Perfect Stillness and Hope Fades but the Duck Never Dies reached the finals of Short and Sweet in Melbourne and Sydney respectively with Perfect Stillness winning the People’s Choice award for Best Overall Production. Recently it was performed in both Malaysia and India and was selected to be part of Shorter + Sweeter, touring regional centres around Australia. In 2007 The Painter won the audience choice award at MelBorn (Melbourne Fringe Festival). In 2008, A Cup of Sugar was included in MelBorn, Playspotting at the Melbourne Writers’ Theatre and then studied at the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts. 2010, has seen Jane’s La Mama debut with a successful season of Happily Ever After and The Stakeout selected for Short + Sweet Melbourne at Chapel off Chapel.
