What: You are invited to attend the opening of The Blue Trees at Prancing Horse Estate where you will be introduced to artist Konstantin Dimopoulos and his environmental installation. Konstantin will speak about his artwork, which was originally launched at the Vancouver Biennale in 2011 and has since replicated it across the USA and in 2013 he recreated The Blue Trees outside St. Paul’s Cathedral London. Now The Blue Trees comes to the Mornington Peninsula and forms one of a series of events planned by Prancing Horse Estate to celebrate the Chinese Year of the Horse.
“Art is about creating the crack that allows in the light of an idea to reach us,” says Konstantin Dimopoulos. “The Blue Trees attempts to awaken a similar response from viewers. It is within this context that the blue denotes sacredness, the reverential.”
