What: Demonstration by Textile Artist Tina Whiteley

Using examples of native flora within Cranbourne Royal Botanic Gardens for her demonstration, textile artist Tina Whiteley will explain the natural dyeing process and demonstrate how certain fibres and fabrics can be transformed into unique works of art with a variety of colour ways and patterns.

At the end of the demonstration, participants can join Tina for a short guided tour of the Gardens to highlight some of the ideal species for dyeing.

Samples of Tina’s work will be on display throughout the demonstration and will be for sale at The Gardens Shop.

 There will be a follow-up workshop for those who wish to have a practical hands-on dyeing session. Book on the day for a workshop and receive a voucher for a free materials kit.
