What: Art Red Hill, the Mornington Peninsula’s premier art event, is set to deliver an unprecedented collection showcasing stunning artworks across painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics and glass and jewellery. All against the stunning backdrop of Red Hill, just an hour out of Melbourne. In its 35th year, artists from both the thriving local art community and across Australia were invited to submit their work to the exhibition, which is carefully curated to ensure a diverse and immersive experience for visitors.
For the first time Mornington Peninsula Shire is providing an Acquisitive Award for a Mornington Peninsula Landscape.
Susan McCulloch OAM, who will once again curate this year’s Principal’s Lounge space in the exhibition, sees this as one of the key benefits of attending the exhibition.
“Art Red Hill has firmly established itself as one of the most lively art events on the Mornington Peninsula. The exhibition gives visitors a way to experience a huge array of art they would not ordinarily be able to access in one exhibition, and gives artists an avenue to connect with their audiences too,” she says
This year’s event has also seen the inclusion of a mentoring program, connecting more experienced artists with new and emerging talent. This is a meaningful and exciting way for artists to not only connect with each other, but share their experiences and knowledge to further develop art as a whole.
