NEW MURAL CELEBRATING THE HISTORY OF THE RED HILL TRAIN

What:  A new mural upon the Red Hill Tradings exterior wall, where the Red Hill station once was.  Red Hill-Shoreham Rd.  ‘The Red Hill Train’  mural has been painted by Peninsula artist Simon White  Simon was inspired by the old Red Hill train that operated between 1921 & 1953.  The train was greatly celebrated by local farmers who could only transport their ever growing produce down the hill on the train, otherwise going to waste.  Today not many people know that the train came to Red Hill which is what motivated Simon to capture a day in the life during this period.
