ADFAS logoWhat: The Australian Decorative and Fine Arts Society (Mornington Peninsula) is looking forward to a visually exciting presentation at its March meeting when Dr Matthew Martin, Curator of International Decorative Arts and Antiquities at the National Gallery of Victoria will talk about impressionist artist Claude Monet’s house at Giverny.

While many have been entranced by the picturesque gardens at Giverny this talk will focus on the house.   Monet himself determined many of the more striking interior features and Matthew Martin will explore aspects of the interior of the house placing them in the context of progressive ideas about art and design in Europe at the end of the nineteenth century.
