MPS Colour Text High ResMCC lgogWhat: The Mornington Peninsula Shire in partnership with the Mornington Community Contact Inc (MMCI), residents, Victoria Police, businesses as well as key educational providers in the Tanti area have identified the Chemist & Pizza Shop Walls located at the Robertson Drive shops as a priority for murals.

The Tanti community is looking for high quality aesthetically appealing mural concept designs that capture the themes and ideas identified by the Tanti community.

Mural 1. Pizza Shop end of the Tanti Shops in Robertson Drive.  It is hoped that the projects will improve sense of place, identity and community safety.  The artist/s will be expected to work with community volunteers to ensure community has a sense of ownership whilst recognising the historical components of the Tanti area.

What:  Mural 2. Attachment B Chemist wall full wall The Chemist Wall is an eyesore covered with graffiti when you enter the Tanti Estate through Robertson Drive and the project is a priority on the Community’s Local Action Plan 2013-2016 as it is frequently tagged.  Graffiti increases negative perceptions of safety in the Tanti area.

The Shire seeks to appoint an artist/contractor who has the skills and ability to engage and involve youth as well as community volunteers in the development of a mural with the understanding that the final artwork will be of high quality and able to be anti-graffiti coated.
