Are you a writer, or part of a literature organisation in regional Victoria?
Regional Arts Victoria and City of Literature are partnering to present two literature events in October to facilitate discussion, information sharing, and networking.
- Thursday 20 October: Literature Regional Cultural Forum
- Friday 21 October: Literary Programmers Round table
The forum will be a one day networking event where you will have the opportunity to hear from artists and arts workers working in the field. Speakers from across the state will include festivals and writers sharing their stories of success and challenge.
The round table will be a facilitated session for writers’ festivals and literary programmers across Victoria to sit down and talk about challenges and opportunities, as well as an occasion to learn from and share with each other.
Where: The Wheeler Centre in Melbourne
More information about programs and booking will be available soon, but for now, save the dates.
The City of Literature, via Regional Arts Victoria, is also offering a subsidy program for those who may require financial assistance to attend both sessions. Applications will be opening on Monday 8 August and applications will be assessed by Regional Arts Victoria and City of Literature.
PS: Regional Arts Victoria has updated the status of the Mornington Peninsula (regarded as outer Metropolitan) and Red Hill, Flinders and Cape Schanck are now regarded as ‘regional’ therefore making us eligible for support.
