Artist’s permanent sculpture competition

WIN $1500 first prize, $500 second prize. Create a traditional scarecrow or Aussie icon art installation in wood, metal, fibreglass, wire, stone – must be suitable for outdoors.

Entry Fee: $25 Register online scarecrowfestival.org.au by 5 September.

If you live outside the hinterland, we will find you a host location. You can also sell your scarecrow online and our Google maps scarecrow trail map location will link directly to you to negotiate the sale.

School holiday funIMG_7911 For a free day out with the kids during the school holidays why not drive around the peninsula hills and admire the many scarecrows that have popped up for the Mornington Peninsula Hinterland Scarecrow Festival and Trail.  The trail map is available online at scarecrowfestival.org.au the festival runs from 16 September to 3 October.

IMG_2068Festival Day Coming up on Saturday 1 October is the free Mornington Peninsula Hinterland Scarecrow Festival Day at the Red Hill Recreation Reserve from 9am to 3pm. There will be lots of lively country music, scarecrows and your kids can enjoy the free art activities, enter the Live Scarecrow Competition and win some great prizes.
