PUTTING CREATIVE SPACES ON THE MAP

onthemap_brandmark1_black_100k3x-100A collective of 13 creative spaces and artists across a 2km area in the Mornington industrial precinct will open their workshops and studios to the public.

When: 11 – 13 November as part of the event On The M.A.P.

artboard-12The Mornington industrial precinct is becoming a hub for creatives, artists, makers and innovators working in areas as diverse as painting, printmaking, silversmithing, resin, street art, ceramics, clothing design and floristry to fine food, boutique beer and specialty coffees.

Over the course of the weekend you can enjoy a range of interactive activities and workshops, watch street artists complete enormous murals, attend creative business workshops and demonstrations of fine crafts, chat to the local creatives and try delicious beer, wine, coffee and fine food.

artboard-11Mornington Peninsula Shire Chief Executive Officer Carl Cowie said “the event is designed to engage the community and to help shape the Mornington Peninsula’s artistic identity and creative industries. Our aim is to work in partnership with local communities to ensure that arts and culture continue to have a positive influence on people’s lives and our Shire as a whole, now and for the future”.

“Events like On The M.A.P offer the community and tourists a unique experience in identifying local artists and enjoy arts and culture in Mornington”, said Mr Cowie.
