For December come and feed your appetite with the Peninsula Writers’ Club guest Rita Erlich.
Rita is one of the legends of the Melbourne Food Festival, an author of more than 30 books, an editor, a judge of restaurants and an occasional broadcaster.
Rita’s latest books are The Makers: a story of food, family and foreigners and Scott Pickett: a cook’s story. Her book Melbourne by Menu is an account of the development of the restaurant scene from the 1980s onward.
Rita was co-editor of The Age Good Food Guide for 15 years, and has written about all aspects of food in newspapers and magazines, including Qantas, Coast and Country, The Age, and The Australian.
Rita is very much looking forward to talking at Cakes and Ale about the ways in which we can write about food, while scraping the plate clean. This is a unique opportunity to learn from the writing and journalism experience of Melbourne food writing royalty.
When: Tuesday 6th December 2016, 6:30pm
Where: Cakes and Ale, 102 Ocean Beach Road, Sorrento
