What: Peninsula Chamber Musicians invite you to a delightful afternoon of rich melodies and stunning harmonies designed to warm your spirit and soul. The beautiful and historic St Peter’s Church Mornington will host this Winter Solstice Festival performance by the PCM Chamber Strings. Artistic Director Andrew Hall (MSO- Violin) will lead the ensemble in Mozart’s much loved Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and Grieg’s Holberg Suite. Soloists Anthony Pope (OV-Trumpet) and Michael Powell (Cor Anglais) will perform Aaron Copland’s breathtaking work, Quiet City. Formed in 2013, Peninsula Chamber Musicians Inc have rapidly developed as an outstanding presence in the artistic landscape of the Mornington Peninsula. PCM was born from the desire to create a opportunities and a sense of place for Peninsula based classical musicians. Now, it draws together highly skilled musicians from across the Peninsula and beyond. PCM has achieved recognition and support from members of Melbourne’s professional orchestral community.
