Aboriginal Art Centre – Baluk Arts is opening a summer pop-up shop in Rye on the Mornington Peninsula to promote and sell contemporary Aboriginal art. Baluk Arts is an Indigenous organisation representing Aboriginal artists from Frankston, the Mornington Peninsula and south east Melbourne.
Baluk artists are from diverse Aboriginal backgrounds from all over Australia and share their stories through artwork in many different mediums.
Their first Summer pop-up shop will stock quality handmade, authentic and ethical goods including jewellery, silk scarves, cards, prints, paintings, works on paper and timber artefacts.
All proceeds go directly to the artists and to providing services to local Aboriginal community such as Indigenous employment, promotion, skills development and materials. Come in to meet the artists, enjoy browsing their shop and support a good cause.
